Brad P and The Son of Sam was envisioned as a concept album based on the life and crimes of David Berkowitz—aka the Son of Sam—the serial killer who murdered 6 people over the course of a year and a half in 1970s New York. The type on the cover was hand drawn in “blood,” while the back of the sleeve was typeset. The overall package feels gritty but composed; just like the music contained within.
